New Orleans Collective Housing Project
This is a collective mixed-income housing complex in the middle of the Garden District neighborhood. This area is well known as of many food desserts in the city. As a solution, "The Hills" building offers multiple unit variations each with their own garden and water system. This series of modules stacks on top of one another creating an open air market underneath for residents to sell their produce, and other craft goods. The total area of the complex includes public spaces and public farming fields. The existing building on the block that is affiliated with a neighboring community school acts as a liaison to the surrounding neighborhood to inspire connection.

Laurel Plantation Site Management & Restoration Plan
Project completed with the help of a large team in a partnership with the family that owns the Laurel Plantation in Thibodeaux. As just a piece of this talented team, I assisted with documenting the state of the existing buildings, and working with Sarah Tankersley on documenting the vegetation surrounding the area and tracing their geographical roots. We had the most fun coming up with ways they could add to their experiences by honoring the peoples who were enslaved on these lands, and creating experiences around the history of cotton production.
