Filmmaking
The process of telling stories on the screen is one I am extremely passionate about. I discovered filmmaking in college and went on to work in the film industry after finding my love for collaborating with creatives on projects of big and small scales. Painting the colors of the screen through color grading and building the worlds these stories take place in through Production Design is really where my heart lies. Here are some highlights of various stories I have had the pleasure of creating.
Adam's Rib
This is a student short adaption of an excerpt from the movie by the same title, created at Tulane University. This was created with just a singular hour of filming with my collaborators being my classmates in the "Directing Actors" collaborative course at the university.
Shrimply Made
This short style documentary was my chosen year-long capstone project to recieve my Film degree at Tulane which tells the story of the biggest inspiration in my life, the story of my grandfather J.M Lapeyre.
Below Sea Level
This was an experimental short created for my architectural filmmaking class at Tulane University. This project was about experimenting with composition and pacing with a non-verbal narrative in which I told a video story about frequent flooding in my hometown of New Orleans, LA.
Xulectra
Award Winning Comedy Short Film about finding an actor to be in a medical drug commercial. On this project I played the role of Assistant Director, collaborating with the Director and Director of Camera to create a shot list, a shooting schedule in Movie Magic Scheduler, and create call sheets. On the shoot day I worked with the team to lock down the location and make the day go smoothly so the director and actors could focus on creating.
